Studio Cascade works hard to help communities coordinate their planning documents toward established goals. Case in-point: we recently completed Rockford's updated Zoning & Development Regulations ordinace, in ways that support and promote the "Main Street" design plan we produced for the town one year earlier. Strategies include a "Town Center" overlay district where shared parking, form-based regulations, and specific sign and build-to regulations apply. Result? Documents that accommodate growth without compromising Rockford's charm or character. Regional press coverage on the town's vision and planning efforts. Rockford's "suite" of documents also received a 2006 Washington State APA/PAW award for small-town planning! |

All agree - this tiny former power substation represents a big opportunity for Rockford's commercial zone. The town has already acquired the property, included in the 2004 Main Street plan. |
Rockford's active historic preservation community helped save the building which today houses the town's unique - and very Rockford - American Legion Military Museum.
